I don't know if this has already been posted but I just wanted to send my prayers to Ron Dugans and his family. His 8 year old daughter was killed in a school bus accident and he wasn't at the Austin Peay game and won't be at the Northeastern game. An absolute tragedy. My heart goes out.

Wow, I can not imagine how horrible and sick he is feeling right now. I hope he does not come back for a while because I know his family needs him more then we do right now. I know everyone will be praying for his family.

Very sorry to hear about this also. I'm sure I speak for all of us App fans when I say I'll keep coach Dugans and his family in my thoughts and prayers. I know it is a devastating loss, and I know your community will do all it can to help them through it.

This is something all parents fear, losing a child. My prayers go out to Coach Dugans and his family.

I actually heard about this on Friday night from a friend of mine on the coaching staff. I wonder if that's why the team came out and was a little "distracted." It's unnatural for a parent to outlive a child... awful. We're all thinking about you coach.

this was actually on CNN or Fox - I was switching back and forth - and they interviewed one of the kids on the bus - she was terrified...broke your heart to hear her...

we're thinking of you coach...

Truly horrible and a worst-nightmare scenario for any parent. I found this news story trying to find a place to send flowers. http://www.wtxl.com/Global/story.asp?S=8960633

That's just terrible to hear....as somebody who teaches 8 and 9 year olds every day, I can't imagine what it would be like if one of my students died, but it's even more horrible to consider how it must feel to lose your own daughter or son. I'll be praying for that family. If somebody finds a link to any financial support for them, please post it so us TSC folks can help them out.

The first week or two of September continues to hold a very ominous period of grief for the GSU football family. My family's prayers are with the family and our deepest condolences go out to them.

Many people have asked what they might be able to do. Mrs. Hatcher provided information for the Ronshay Dugans Memorial Fund. Something good can come of this tragedy ...
