Title says it all. Seems that with the ratio of FBS:FCS being pretty high already that it probably doesn't happen. It's something I was just curious about.

Very, very rare, if ever. I would guess less than 10 players in the history of 1-AA.

Marshall was 1-A when Moss left, though he did leave early. They were only 1-AA for his first year.

Klak how bout Terrell Owens did he go his entire four years in college.

He did, and his numbers were very average, mostly due to double coverage and UTC sucking.

Year 2: 38 catches, 724 yards, 8 tds
Year 3: 32 catches, 357 yards, 3 tds
Year 4: 43 catches, 666 yards, 1 td

Can they come back?

Once they declare, that's it.

Brandon should have stayed his senior year and grew up a lil bit. These kids just dont uinderstand how hard it is in the NFL. Hell AP is the second string running back and the was one of the best FCS players of all time.

Many times they have to leave early and declare

That is one of the issues with the credit towards graduation...they fall behind, especially when they get 3 years in and they are out of "easy" classes...remember it is not about just the load that you take it has to be moving toward graduation...I never could figure out why a marginal player would declare after his jr season in hopes of being drafted in the late 6th round...then a coach at Ga Tech (a friend of a friend) explained it to me...he said that some of these guys have been in school 4 semesters (Fr. & Soph.) plus a couple min "B" sessions and then in there Jr. Season they just quit going to class...it is also why you see guys that are not eligible for bowl games because grades have come out by then.

It happens more than you think in D-1...it just seems a little more crazy when at a D-1AA school

Ronney Jenkins, Northern Arizona's running back (transfer from BYU), went pro in 1999, as a junior.

He stuck in the NFL for a few years, scored a couple of TD's ....

Probably only remember it because it isn't so common for a junior to leave a I-AA or FCS program to try and make it in the NFL.

Brandon Jackson tried this year but didn't make it

I think someone made the decision for him. From what I have read, he was told to not come back to the team.
