Now it costs to view Sam's Journal?

I noticed that the new Sam's Journal is up. When I tried to view it, I was told I needed to log in. When I tried to log in, the website wouldn't accept my password. I then clicked on the link to register and it looks like I've got to purchase a monthly or annual membership. I guess that's the last Sam's Journal I'll get to see.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is everyone else seeing the same thing?

If you click on the link that says "Sam's Journal" the last one posted is from July. If you click on "Eagle Vision" at the top a media player window opens and offers several video/audio selections. The latest Sam's Journal is one of them, but it's listed as premium. It appears that you have to have a paid subscription to view the premium items.

This is rediculous.....This is either another bonehead move by Sam or his is about to retire and just does not give a bleep. I went back and listened to the past 5 months of the journal's when it was free and nothing much worth listening to...and now he expects people to pay for it??? I felt like someone should pay me to have to listen to him ramble about nothing. I was interested in the FBS study progress....I guess since he doesn't want to take the lead and let us know how it is coming, it is back to counting on internet blogs for our info. Not what I would want as an AD.

It must have been a glitch because I couldn't imagine them making a bonehead move like that....but then again maybe they did do it knowingly.

Got to my question about the money guarantees and he rambled a good bit, but what he basically says is that when we want the game the payout is lower than when the FBS school is scrambling to find a game.

Feasibility study is ongoing and the plan is to have the folks come to the Appy game and to also have an open forum in the Nesmith-Lane building around that time. An announcement will be made, he said.

How much is Sam paying us to read his journal???

I am broke, but for the right price, I think I can stomach the Journal one time.

That is going to be very interesting when that happens. If we keep winning, we'll be top ten by that game I would imagine, and app will be the #1 team if they keep winning, setting up a huge game that hopefully all the Eagle Nation will come out to see. That would be a good visible representation of the support we have. I'll be extremely disappointed if that scenario plays out and we have less than 20k.
