That's bad news, and extremely disappointing. Not sure of the situation, but I think it means that he's not eligible (for one reason or another) to pratice or play football.

Last night at the game there was kid wearing his number dressed out. I don't know if it was him or another player. Let's hope he was just redshirted he has some good credentials.
