-good atmosphere for the most part, i sat in section B (home side, close the the scoreboard) most of these people were dead. Student section sounded great.
-I dont ever comlain about lighting for our night games, but come on, is too hard to replace a few light bulbs so they are all working for the opener.
-WE NEED MORE SEATS. Although there was plenty of seats open, way too many people in grass. I think it's funny they sell bench and grass seat for the same price?? My wife is 4 months pregnant and we would have been driving back to Alt if we only had grass seats.
-Can you not come and go from the stadium if you have a ticket. I had to go to ATM machine during the second quarter and got hasstled coming back in?
-Whos house, our house, Georgia, Southern chants sounded great
-Sound system still sux
-more on seating; i would love to see a small set of stands at the back of the endzone with the scoreboard on top. would create a much better environment, much more hostle than it is now. I would also close off those corners and make people get in the seats.
-so glad parking is not an issue. parked at the PAC, free, not that far of a walk, what more can you ask for.
-had a great time, besides forgetting cash, i wish they had an ATM machine at the stadium

How long have you been around GSU Football? Did you ever slide down those hills on cardboard boxes? I'm not wild about MAKING people do things they don't want to do. Especially when they aren't hurting anyone and they are enjoying themselves on the grass. Now if your proposing building more seats there and horseshoeing the stadium, I'm all for that.

The sound system was way too loud on the press box side. We had people holding their ears. The sound system needs to be on te score board like UGA's.

I agree. I love sitting on the grass with my chairs. Stretch out my legs and no one is sitting on top of me. Yet, I am all for closing the stadium into a bowl!

No passes out has been the rule for a long time. It's printed on the ticket and they make announcement at the game.

I too think it's ridiculous that grass seats and bench seats are the same price. You're definitely right about the student section. I could hear the group behind us getting wild most of the game. When we headed down to the field for halftime, I got a chance to hear them all :-P

The students definitely showed up in full force last night. When they made an announcement in the 2nd? quarter that sections H and I were open for the students, it was a mad rush to fill it up. Great to see that much student support. Lets hope it continues for the next few weeks.

It baffles me that there is not an ATM on either side of the stadium...............good source of revenue with ATM fees

You are very right PowerEagle, the students showed up, stayed after halftime, and were alot more pumped up and into the game than those on home side, most las nite seemed dead!!
Not me, I don't care. I'm gonna holla, fuss, praise, clap, and sumtimes jump at my boys on that field.lol. I got a few "looks" from the dead folks las nite jus sitting there, but I could care less....

I hope the student body continues this year like las nite. I was proud of them, and the band. The speaker system still sucks, and I wish we had the horseshoe stands, but it will come w/ time i suppose. The tailgaiting was awesum , and we were at the RAC..

I don't know if it would be a money maker, with it only being 6-8 times a year that the stadium is used. However, whichever financial services agent is serving the university should be required to supply the stadium as part of the package.

6-8 times a year with 19000 people is over 100,000 people who could POTENTIALLY use it.

I agree. As I said in a thread the other day, the group that we sit with all choose to sit in the grass. We all have season tickets and sit in the grass because there is more room to stretch out.

Just put a portable one in for the games...what is the fee $2 a hit...easy money

Seven would be nice

Add seats to one side, not both. That way you leave some grass for kids/fans that enjoy it. A lot of people really don't like the grass, but have to sit there due to lack of seats. I think putting seats in font of the Bishop building would look really nice. That lonely stair case looks out of place, and looks like it is temporary until we put bleachers there. So why wait? Go ahead and put the bleachers there.

Speaking of seats, 18,225 for our home opener(our Any home game) is pretty lame.

Hate to nit pick but.... All of the SOCON Championship banners I can see from Sec. E are tattered bad! Even Old Glory was a little frayed. Can we pony up for new flags by next Saturday? The rest of the stadium looked great.

I really believe that the seating capacity is stifling any chance at attendance growth. The stadium seating is already busting at the seams and is routinely overcapacity. Some people do not like to sit on the grass.

The real problem IMO, is that most of the current growth is with the students attendance, and there is no additional revenue at this point by extra K's of students showing up.

Double deck is what I would like to see. Over 18,000 at last nights game.

I'd like to see it happen in this order....

1. Horseshoe the Bishop end this off season
2. Rebuild the pressbox and create a club level few years
3. Bowl the scoreboard end for Band and Guest teams
4. Upper Deck Guest side
5. Upper Deck Home side over Club Level

This may be out of place but the Eagle Vision Screen is useless. I need binoculars to see it and I'm in section C.

Get some glasses. I am on the grass on the opposite side and I can see it fine.

Agreed I could see it fine from my spot near the soccer stadium.

I would prefer to sick with the original plan personally. Add an upper deck and more luxury boxes on the away side. Then we make the current lower level completely for students (I think it would be full) and sit all the away fans in the upper deck (like GA did to us). The extra boxes would bring in a lot more money to the program as we already have a waiting list and that is a guaranteed paycheck.

The added bonus to that is why can place some speakers and such on that side as well to balance out the sound and not have to turn it so loud.

I like this plan, but i would move #3 to the #1 spot.
