Five total draftees. Great for our program.

What happened to Cleveland? Will he sign as a free agent or what? Thought he would have already been gone.

Possible rookie question...how come NCAA baseball players can be drafted in the MLB draft, decline, and continue to play afterwards, but a football player can't even declare for the NFL draft without forfeiting the remainder of their NCAA time?

Not sure why there's a difference but with the MLB draft, you don't declare, you're just automatically in if you're eligible.

Guys with no positional flexibility need to be truly special hitters to get noticed.

Means we're in rebuilding mode big time.
Hey, Tyson! Change the culture back!

If you think TK is the reason we don't have better non-conference football schedules, see this post.

Three of them were gone anyway. Relievers are replaceable. Rodney will get some JUCO to shore up that back end. Baldwin leaving hurts. No doubt. But our babies from this year (McWhorter, Curry, Golden, Shuman) are just sophomores that'll only get better. We'll be fine. Experienced (probable) weekend rotation of Shuman, Eichhorn, and Cohen will serve us well. Not worried about 2018.

yep, we got 2 catches coming back from serious injuries, if they are 100% healthy we will be good there. Move Mitch to SS, his natural position so all we need infield wise is 3rd baseman, OF is wide open. Again, I'm concerned about power, we do have Tyler returning. Solid depth is a concern. I would think we will see a couple of "proven" JUCO's.

Not really. Good programs have this kind of thing every year. We are bringing back three starters who are pitching in the Cape and essentially 4 of our top 5 hitters. Will we have holes to fill? Sure. Is it a major rebuild, not exactly. McWhorter will probably slide to first. We will need some new outfielders.

we are bringing in a SS from state of Florida, so maybe Mitch stays at third, as season progressed Mitch worked hard to become a pretty darn good third sacker.
