    Default USA Today's Misery Index

Not exactly where you want your program to be...

"Georgia Southern: Watch this space. A program that was rocking and rolling a couple years ago under Willie Fritz has gone into the tank very quickly. And Georgia Southern has one of the most intense fan bases outside the Power Five schools. That's a combustible combination for second-year head coach Tyson Summers, who was brow-beat (as other Georgia Southern coaches have been) into embracing the triple option after going 5-7 last season. Summers hired Bryan Cook from Georgia Tech to reset the offense, but the Eagles have scored a total of 19 points in two games - including a 22-12 loss to New Hampshire, an FCS program. That isn't going to cut it in Statesboro."

We had plain white pants, we had plain navy-blue shirts, a number on the front and a number on the back. We couldn't even put a stripe down the middle of our helmets. We used a strip of tape. ... Those kind of things screamed, 'TEAM!' - Erk Russell

EDIT ... Of those whopping 19 points, 9 have been from the defense
