They are kind of like a cross between VSU and St. Leo, which is different from GS.

If there's any "niche" that's similar to ours, it's the USM niche in Mississippi or the ECU niche in North Carolina (sorry, Reuben).

If the USG had any sense, we'd be more like USM or Marshall, both of which are more on Georgia State's level as far as research institutions go (I think, anyway . . . not sure about this one).

Maybe the Armstrong merger positions us for that next step.
Troy started there branch campus back in the late 70's, they were already offering classes on the military bases before opening actual branch campus that they owned.

Volleyball is 6-11 and 2-4 in conference. Honestly, this program is regressing.

Women"s soccer has been up and down, but will finish better than last fall's DFL. Georgia is a great girl's soccer state and cannot figure out why we are so mediocre.

Men's golf off to a great start with a second place finish at Notre Dame tourney. This might be our best overall sport.

Women's golf is the opposite of the men's progran. 12th out of 15th in last tourney.

We need people who bleed blue running this department. Not a New Jersey guy doesn't even speak the same language.
