Thread: Dell McGee and Georgia

    Default Dell McGee and Georgia

Here's an article about #1 recruit Justin Fields who just committed to Georgia talking about how Dell McGee is the best recruiter in the nation and how he considers him family... I feel like nothing is going our way right now

    It's not.

TK decided to wear his *** for a hat and go find some coaching gold at a discount when Fritz left.

He damn sure found something, but it isn't gold

Still doesn't mean that he has the resume to be a head coach yet. He may end up being a great one. But IMO we need more than "hes a great guy" when it comes to a HC hire.

I always thought Dell McGee had the it factor when it came to recruiting. I've also said the players seemed to spill their guts playing for him, see none of that currently. TK whiffed twice, once on Coach McGee, once on TS. If TK knew how to find coaching gold he should of gave DM a chance! I'm not saying we should've hired McGee, but we dang sure shouldve hired him over TS.
    Go Eagles!!

Rodney Garner might be the best recruiter of them all. Doesn't mean he's a head coach in waiting.

    Yep.

maybe we offered and Dell decided to go to UGA.

I suspect TK didn't offer-just to spite Fritz.

Would have been great to have Dell, I think. He had a ton of goodwill from the players and the fans after that bowl game.... And honestly-could have possibly done any worse??

McGee actually went to Tulane for about 5 min before UGA gave him an offer.

McGee has a 2 yr contract at $350,000 per year

I don't know what kind of a HC he'd make but if he was gone in a couple of years he'd probably leave a talented team for the next HC.
