We will be fine on O. To make the leap from good to great we have to get it done on the boards and the defensive end.

Your #2 point, goes with my "double double" guy. Part of double double is the guy who gets 10 or more rebounds in the game. I'm to lazy to check but I'm not sure we had a game last year where someone got 10. Maybe a couple but not many.

Shoot 80% Free Throws as a team.

The highest team free throw percentage in the conference last year was 74%. 80% is an unrealistic expectation. We were exactly in the middle of the conference in free throw percentage. We were dead last in rebounding margin and third from the bottom in points given up per game.

I've been to several games in recent years that we would have won if we had hit even half our free throws

Only 3 teams in the nation shot better than 79 percent from free throw line last year. No one broke 80 percent. Notre Dame was No. 1 at 79.9 percent. 40 teams were at 75 percent or better, out of the 350 (?) teams in D1.

So 80% would be good. Very good.
And yes I know it may be an unreasonable expectation. A 10% improvement would have won us a few more games last year. And thatís the goal.

    1. Rebound
    2. Get off to a fast start in the non conference and build some early hype.
    3. Improve our defense.

This team is better than Byington's second one at GS. There is no reason save a few injuries that this team can't compete for the conference title. We need a good year in basketball. This is the team to do it.
