I've never said I'm ok with an RB "playing" QB.

I've been one of the people that's talked about the flex limiting our ability to attract dual threat QB's and playmaker WRs if we don't actually develop a passing game to go with it. I'm also one of the people frustrated with the fact we have a 4 star WR who can't get on the field, not that it really matters because we don't throw the ball enough or in enough situations to where it really matters.
I'd be ok with "a RB playing QB" as long as we win. There's something to be said for winning.

You have to have a plan though.

The plan can't be to win with a guy that throws worse than me.

If that's the result because of how things work out, then that's ok. Proper planning and process makes a big difference.

That's what we saw in 2012.

Yeah, it did make a difference in 2012. We had a backup plan for when our projected starter played poorly and then got hurt.

We played a RB at QB, and that's not the reason we fell short of our NC goal. It was the main reason we got as far as we did.

The same could probably said for 7-2 Army.

You guys was a reference to the vast majority on here that said we could not get a good dual threat guy. I realize there are some who believe we can and should try. For the vast majority of the time when we were really good, we did in fact have those type guys which is why for me there is a disconnect between folks saying we have to run the TO because we can't get those guys. If that makes any sense.

I think most of us think that we can get a decent duel threat guy.
The big question is , which skill do you value most in the position?
How much of the running ability are we willing to fudge on to put a better "passer" in the QB position?

I value the running, read, pitch skills most. A real Option QB with the ability to hurt you over the top. I'd be great if he can thread the needle, but I really just need him to make a good throw to wide open receivers and not get the ball picked off. The strong running should open up easier passing lanes.

I don't want a guy who is a great passer, that is somewhat mobile while having a little experience running the option.

That's why he is number three on my list. Right behind Bohannon and Davis.

Your top three are correct. Bohannon, Davis, Houston with Grass being the dark horse hire. Excellent choices.
