We're better than Wake and Liberty on most courts on most days.

We have a very good team. If they stay healthy and continue to grow, they will be better than most teams on most days. Worrying about the transitive property harming a win is shortsighted when you look forward and realize that - while hiccups are bound to happen - we've most likely already beaten the most talented team we'll face all year on their home court

Wake is way down this season. We need to lose 2 or less in the non conference schedule. Really weak schedule
Too many Urkels on your team that's why your wins low

Transitive property aside, the value of our win over Wake just went down

Only chance of this team winning less than 6 games is if it's ravenged by injuries. Anybody predicting 4 wins or some crap like that is clueless. Post Arkansas St game is going to be fun around here to watch the crow being eaten. Heck, even post UNH is going to provide some fun.

It could happen. Short hops from non-hubs are a happenin' thing, in aviation.

Exactely. I understand we have a very good team, but it would be great to remove the pressure of having to win the SBC tournament. If WF turns out to be really weak this year then that damages any (small) oppurtunity we had for a at-large.

It still would be viewed as a quality D1 win as compaired to let's say our Thursday night win vs "the mighty" BLUEFIELD, a D2 school which makes me wonder would the NCAA even view Thursday night a win!. I'm afraid to say but IMO the only way we make it to NCAA's is to win our tournament. Now here is a possibility, Ike and Tookie have MONSTER year, we win a lot of games(those 2 guys get glowing press throughout season), but we still get beat in Tournament final. Because our backcourt are viewed as dynamic/great the NCAA may think we are a good draw and give us an at large bid, still highly unlikely but a possibility.

A similar situation happened to UTA last season and the best they could get is a bid to the NIT. The only difference was they had one big man (that will likely be drafted high) vs our two backcourt. It would be helpful if WF turns it around and wins the ACC (lol).

+1, "star power", heck, I'd take a NIT bid(but that's it, no other bogus post season, pay money to get in crap).

Typically, I would not mind going to the NIT, but it has been 25 years since we have gone dancing (present company excluded) and we need to end that drought, this year!

CMB & Co.... 25 years... GATA!
