Just when I start to feel ok about whats going on, yall pull this up. Now I am back to wanting to burn TK at the stake.

Plus, the whole theory behind why TK burned his bridge to Monken and Davis was supposedly that he didn't treat Davis right in the interview process after Monken took the Army job. Now we're going to say that again? What specifically do you think was done to Monken that was duplicitous or dishonest?

Seriously, after the idea that TK doesn't want the option has been busted, the idea we didn't try to keep Fritz was busted, and the idea that the Paul Johnson coaching tree wants no part of the job has been busted, people really need to stop making assumptions regarding TK without solid evidence.
I agree we likely could have hired Davis or Bohannon with such an offer. But you have to actually interview them, consider them, and offer them the job. Apparently, we didn't do those things.

Apparently we did 'do that again' by not bothering to let the guy know he was out of consideration as he awaited word of his supposedly pending interview up to the moment we announced our hire.

Not all of those allegations have been thoroughly 'busted' by the way.
I hope we build a statue to Chad Lunsford one day and he elbow drops us to victory after glorious victory!!!!

Just because Davis is interested in the job does not automatically guarantee the guy a right to be interviewed. For whatever reason, TK chose not to do so. I would love to know those reasons, but no one will ever truly know. I don't think Monken's comments amount to much and people are just trying to read too deeply into them. He's always going to hype up his own guy. It basically amounts to nothing more than "I think he would have been great for the job, but I'm glad we didn't lose him". Nothing more, nothing less.

Other than the not interviewing Davis part, we don't know any of that for sure. We can assume Bohannon was not offered the job because most assume he would have taken it had it been truly offered, but even that is still a guess.

I love that we run out head coaching search like it's a kid's lemonade stand.

I guess we better just pray that Lunsford works out. Would It be too hard to do our due diligence and actually interview real candidates? We did in 2014 and landed Fritz.

I'm sure an athletic director who could be one bad hire from being sacked is going to make a cursory, impulsive, careless coaching selection process.
Hey TK! Change the culture back!

If you think TK is the reason we don't have better non-conference football schedules, see this post.

Not really necessary if you can reach in your back pocket and pull out a home run with your most vocal constituents.

Second former GS coach to do so....by letting out info. Remember PJ let it out we passed on Cook because he wanted a two year deal. I can tell by Monken's words and phrasing he was not happy. TK is killing with former coaches....

This is a guy that hired Tyson over a bunch of qualified HC's and liked porn on his public twitter account and never unliked it for weeks.....also the guy that stated we were disillusioned to expect better results being winless. I dont trust his judgement anymore.

Davis deserved an interview even if TK had no intention of hiring him if nothing else out of respect for his successful tenure here and not to burn bridges, I am going to ASSume if it was not already the Monken / TK bridge is a raging inferno now, probably with PJ as well with that and once Cook is likely let go.
