One gets those things from Aubrey and Anthony. One used to get them from Heath.

    Sigh.
Honest and the media are far from a given...I meant honest as is he has no agenda that I know of other than writing what he actually thought vs being pissed at the school or coach and writing a hit piece. I completely agree with Aubrey he is about the only one who has asked hard questions since my girl Alex P. lots of fluff from others.

But I thought he had it turned around....and.....that is why we hired him..... Hard as hell hitting this moving target of validation of the hire.

CCL turned around the effort, intensity, discipline, and cut down on the mistakes, and YES, and it made a difference in the two games we won. Poor coaching on offense, and the same lapses on defense that plagued us at the beginning of the season lost the CCU game. We all had to give TS a few games with HIS people, lets give CCL the same consideration. I'll give him a pass until then.

Only chance of this team winning less than 6 games is if it's ravenged by injuries. Anybody predicting 4 wins or some crap like that is clueless. Post Arkansas St game is going to be fun around here to watch the crow being eaten. Heck, even post UNH is going to provide some fun.

What happened to the other 4 games? Somehow I don't get the same warm, fuzzy feeling about this hire as some and in some ways it is reminiscent of our prior hire as far as experience. Hopefully CCL is a winning machine.

That is all opinion, some facts are, we played two of the worst teams in the FBS, both lost the next week and both fired their coaches. CL had six weeks with this team and we lost to a 2-9 team with an FCS roster. I was told CL had turned us around and is why we hired him. A "turned around" GS team does not lose to a 2-9 FCS team.

I love how we give zero credit to Chadwell for coaching at high level and exposing what UL or USA could not and it was all Cook's fault. I also dont know how you give CL ALL the credit for everything good when ALL the coaches suffered under Tyson. Again you flip the schedule CL is not our HC period as we dont throw him the job after going 1-3 beating bad teams and then losing the last three of four badly at best and likely all four. If we would have waited on week I bet Bohannon is here right now as well.

Like I have said nobody will be pulling for him more than me but I will never agree on this whole hiring process or who we passed over in relation to hiring CL. I know one thing we better get on landing an OC or DC and hit the recruiting trail because if we dont get out of FCS territory the coach will no matter much soon.

What winning tradition did Summers come from?

What team/program had he been around that would have taught him to be a WINNER?

There are hundreds of position coaches that participate in winning traditions and programs. Doesn't make them winning HC material. CCL coaching in conjunction with a winning mentality is encouraging. But doesn't establish him as a winner as HC. Got to produce a little more than 2-4. 2018 "HIS" team of coaches will give us a better look. We will see. Hopefully conference competitive and a bowl.

You don't understand what I'm getting at.

You make a big deal about flex coaches coming from PJ and from here as knowing how to win.

Where had Summers been that showed you he even knew what a winning program looked like? He was doomed from the start, because he didn't know what made a winning program.
