1. Eagles Welcome The Citadel for Homecoming Saturday

[Two of the Southern Conference's top three rushing offenses will collide in Georgia Southern's (7-1, 5-1) final home game of the regular season at Paulson Stadium. The Eagles welcome in The Citadel (4-4, 2-4) for homecoming and senior day, kickoff Saturday is set for 2 p.m.]


2. Adrian Mora Honored for October Performance

["October was a terrific month for game-winning field goals, record-setting performances and community service by place-kickers. It is a pleasure to recognize place-kickers that were nominated by their schools for extraordinary performance during the month," said the award's namesake Fred Mitchell.]


3. Men's Basketball Faces Paine College in Final Tune-Up

[Georgia Southern Men's Basketball returns to the hardwood for the final time before the start of the regular season in just one week with an exhibition game against Paine College on Friday night, November 4th, at 7 p.m. The exhibition game is free and open to the public. Eagle Vision will provide live video of the game with Justin Baker calling the action for free.]


4. Eagles Continue SoCon Run Against College of Charleston

[Georgia Southern Women's Soccer returns to the scene of its upset of No. 2 seeded UNCG in the semifinal round of the 2011 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Tournament. The Eagles face the No. 3 seeded College of Charleston Cougars with a trip to the SoCon Tournament Final in the balance. The match can be seen live, free of charge, on SoConSports.com.]


5. Georgia Southern’s Lanson Named CCSA Swimmer of the Week

["Elaina is a tremendous talent," said Head Coach Nate Kellogg. "Her performances this past weekend are just scratching the surface of her abilities. Friday gave us a nice glimpse, but it was certainly a tough turn-around traveling that night and then competing again on Saturday. We are very proud of how our entire team united and rallied."]


6. Bulldogs a challenge for GSU

[“We, as a defense, we’ve got a bitter taste in our mouth because we went up to App and we didn’t get a win like we were supposed to,” GSU senior tackle Roderick Tinsley said. “We didn’t play our assignments well. We’re coming back this week and we’re going to do whatever we have to do to get a win.”]

8. Richardson snubbed in awards voting: Lions

[Rookie import defensive back Darrell Pasco will draw into the Winnipeg Blue Bombers lineup on Saturday against Calgary to replace Johnny Sears, whois sitting out Saturday’s game due to suspension. Pasco, a Georgia Southern product, should see most of his time on special teams, coming into the defence as the extra back in passing situations.]

10. Storm off to winning start

[The big guns came alive for the Storm as guard Julian Allen made clutch baskets throughout the second half to take the wind out of any Quebec run. Allen finished with a game-high 23 points.]


11. SMC hosting prep school basketball tournament

[SMC will play 9:30 p.m. Friday against Faith Baptist Christian (Brandon, Fla.), which has four players committed to Division I schools (James Madison, Florida A&M and two to Georgia Southern).]
