Hey guys, I've been talking a lot of trash, but I just stumbled upon a little fact that makes me feel sorry for you folks.

As of the census (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Census)[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statesboro,_Georgia#cite_note-GR2-0) estimates of 2007...the median income for a household in [Statesboro] was $19,016.

I didn't know you guys have it so bad. I'll actually be rooting for you on Saturday. You guys need the success more than we do. No wonder so many of you were telling us to come down to spend money. It also explains the Nattie Light reference. Good luck on Saturday guys! :o

Census count students living away from home for college in the city in which they attend school.

So 20,000 students, with maybe only 5,000 of them holding minimum wage jobs, will bring down the house hold income.

Yes, no trail of tears for our Native Americans. Andrew Jackson felt no need to remove the Penobscots from their land. Of course the Cherokees of Georgia weren't so fortunate. They tried to assimilate. They educated themselves and learned the ways of the white man. But they got kicked out of Georgia none the less. The only thing that remains are the place names........

The Maine Culture Identity Crisis

Okay lets review
The state dish is poutine, which is also the canandian national dish. Food and culture have a strong connection, language being the only thing with a more stronger influence on a culture. Maine=Canadian Posers

Sports: Maine is a hockey school. Hockey is the national sport of Canada!! Maine=Canadian Posers

Governement: Maine police look like Canadian Mounties!! Maine=Canadian Posers!

Dude no wonder you moved down here, you just wanted to feel more American I get it.

Mainers look at Canadians especially French Canadians the way southerners look at minorities. I'm not sure if your smart enough to be jabbing in jest or just really ignorant of reality. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

College hockey is a fast growing sport. There's even a D-1 team in Alabama. Real schools like Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Ohio St. to name a few have D-1 programs and are really good. It's not SEC though so it's doesn't count.

You lost me on the police comment. I do have a friend who is a trooper. He hates Canadians too though.

So by butt kicking do you mean winning, but giving up 48 points like you did to ODU or do you mean like Maine won't last past the first quarter. I tried to tell ol Pike we'd be lucky to still be in the game by halftime. The hurting we put on ASU was a butt kicking. That deer in the headlights look on those scared WR"s & that QB's face was priceless. Yall won last week, but you didn't kick any butt in the process. We get a little tired around here of playing Appy year in and year out and as you know between Appy and us we have 9NC's, so most of us on here were pulling for Maine to win, we want some new meat coming into Paulson and lets hope this years version of the bad boys from Maine are a little better than that OVERRAITED 2002 team, we do like compitition down here, 49-17 sounds about right, poof! there goes your black hole.

Go look up how many fortune 500 companies are in Georgia and compare that to Maine. Does Maine even have one on the list?

I've been to Maine... beautiful landscape, good people, great food.... on the sad side, I left with a rather alarming impression of an unassimilated white (99%), obese, poorly educated populace surrounded in stark poverty. There exists very little industry from what I saw other than a service industry supporting tourists.
<O:p</O:p
I will not challenge this lifestyle, it seemed much less complicated and opportunity is in the eye of the beholder.... what would be incorrect would be to drag out tired, uninformed assumptions borrowed from Hollywood (because yours are baseless) as to what the South is. As in everywhere I have traveled, there exists pockets of poverty, wealth and yes even prejudice. What you do not have in Maine is a diverse population so your opinions are as weak as the dumpster diving, handout hoping black bears that will get thumped like a fur seal this Saturday...
<O:p</O:p
Come on down, watch how football was intended to be played. Hell, after you recover from an epic beating, tour the area, develop an opinion of us based upon your own experiences then carry your carpet bagging arses back up to where you came from; we'll call you when we need clean towels<O:p</O:p

1st of all, lets get something straight, your offense aint no ODU offense, 2nd of all you will NOT stop our offense.

102-3 if we decide to throw the ball. Tebow only throws it 15 times a game and usually gets a couple of TDs No reason GSU can't. The WRs will be open. We have the speed to stop you on the edges, but if you guys start running between the tackles we'll wear down fast. Ask Towsen. They exposed our weakness.

Okay so let me summarize.

So far my analysis of the game:

1. Maine is a team of destiny.

2. Yanks work harder than their southern counterparts (see southern states pre-Emancipation Proclamation)

3. God loves the North (See results of Civil War).

4. Georgians are fat. http://chartsbin.com/view/562

5. All of the good players in Georgia play at UGA, GA Tech, UofF, Auburn, Ole Miss, etc. Slim pickins. (GSU = Georgia JV all-stars????)

6. Georgians are overconfident. (See Civil War)

7. Georgians have cranial deficiencies. (See posters on this site)

8. Georgians hydrate themselves with Soda. (Leads to further dehydration)

9. "Prettiest Little Stadium in America" is only pretty compared to other local infrastructure.

10. Black hole defense will squash the gimmick triple offense.

Your analysis of the game:

Maine is a wine and cheese state

We are Canadians

We have a native cat

We play hockey

We have police that look too professional

You have bragged about two wins against us that happened in the 80's and 2002

And you have made fun of LL Bean

You can't reason with most of them midcoast. I listened to some of the coaches show on Monday night. All he did was complain about some bogus PI call. It went on ad nauseam. I didn't listen to the entire show, but I never heard much about the 48 points their defense gave up. But we're doomed. We'll be lucky if we make it past the first series.

On a serious note - if you had seen the officiating in that game, you would have puked.

Now for your "Black Hole Defense" - does that represent the deficiencies in your line? Or does it stand for the fact that our RB's will disappear from your defender's sights never to be seen again until the endzone? Whatever it is, once they play against the GSU TO, they will get lit up.

1. Not an analysis of the game. It's boast about your team that has no supporting arguments. ODU could have been a team of destiny. Maine is just the victim of the triple option.
2. Not an analysis of the game. It's a false stereotype of a regional culture.
3. Not an analysis of the game. Another false Stereotype.
4. Not an analysis of the game. Alabama is way worse.
5. Not an analysis of the game. Although it is actually related to football for a change. Our system is different than any of those schools. We get good players for our system. Not just try to steal the best players and make them conform to our system.
6. Not an analysis of the game. We're confident because we're successful. Maine has nothing to be confident about. And another regional stereotype with the addendum in parenthesis.
7. Not an analysis of the game. This is getting redundant....
8. Not an analysis of the game. wth kind of generalization is that? That's just dumb.
9. Not an analysis of the game. It's our stadium and we love it. Don't care what anyone else thinks.
10. Holy ****! A comment that could actually be considered an analysis of the game! Guess we'll have to give Swope a space suit since he's going to be slicing through this "Black Hole Defense" all day.

1 out of 10 comments can be considered analysis of the game. Everything else is just lame *** smack.

Here's an analysis for you: Our offense going to run your defense's *** non-stop all day. You won't be able to stop it. Try as hard as you little teddy bears can, but it's not happening. End of story. And don't even think about putting up near the amount of points as ODU did. Manbearpig is going to ******* eat your defensive line and then follow it up with a tasty quarterback snack for dessert. You can attempt to pass it on us. But you'll quickly find that as a less then favorable option as well when you see that #1 flying around the field breaking up your passes. Face it. You're out matched in every aspect. You might as well just stay home and snuggle up with your little teddy bear because the eagles are soaring to the semi-finals.

We got away with a couple of false starts, but that's about it. They were leaning toward ODU with favorable calls all day letting them get away with push offs and making ridiculous PI calls.

For instance - This wasn't called a TD:

Using your reasoning, we could have beat half of the SEC this year based on how we performed against Bama. Relative stats mean nothing.

App sees us on a regular basis, knows our offense, and wanted revenge for us knocking them off the top of the ladder last year. That was the best game they played this year.

Okay points scored against a team means a lot less than a W. I know the best thing that has happened to GSU so far this year is losing to Alabama, but I think a win against a team you lost means a little more for the Black Bears.

You know, Maine might not be so bad after all. Consider this:
1. Never having to buy your wife razors
2. Never having to listen to the constant spousal nagging during her winter hibernation
3. Pregnancy cravings are poutine and Labatt's
4. You both share the same XXXL L. L. Bean flannel shirt
5. Access to Canadian pharmacies for your offshoot brand of Lipitor and Viagra (need something to help the mood when she goes in heat)
6. The Versus channel is on basic cable since it is the only channel that actually broadcasts hockey games
7. The turtleneck is still in style
8. Your football sucks, so you have lots of free time on the weekends (in between Bruins games)

Hope you guys making the trip have safe travels and enjoy your last game of the 2011 season

I THINK they're trying to say we don't match up well with them. That's why the beatdown we put on ASU is irrelvent in their eyes. I'm not sure they've seen enough of us to make that determination though. There's actually a somewhat rational assesment of our team on their main board, but again their assessment is based on the rewatching the ASU game which I guess is irrelevent? I'm confused.

This is Talon talk, but I'll say it anyways. You don't get to the final 8 unless your good enough to win it all. So, please know I warned you if somehow, someway Maine wins. I know that's not really a possibility, but the refs could always screw you.

Using game footage to determine how your team will match up against someone, and flat out saying "we beat them and they beat you, so we'll beat you" is two totally different things. We found specific details and points in your gameplay that leads us to believe we'll win. Just saying you'll win because they beat us is plain ignorant.

Hopefully with the implementation of instant replay in the quarter-finals it'll cut down the screwing on the part of the refs. Wish they would do that for every round of the playoffs.

I agree with what your saying. However if you rewatched that game and still think GSU is winning Saturday 49-17 your equally as ignorant and tbh that's most of what I'm reading. We should just skip the game and hit Tybee. I've stated what I think Maine weakness is, but I'm also confident that the way we played last weekend will carry over. If you don't believe in intangibles like chemistry & momentum then we just have to agree to disagree. Keeping it real. Maine has to have flawless execution in order to pull off the upset. But I don't see that as impossible.

So come on down to the poor, hungry, redneck town of statesboro and we'll give you the same courtesy as those guys. Whether it's close or we blow you out of the thawed water you too will be going home early and can watch us play in frisco with your buddies ODU.

Ha ha nice pic. There's a fine line between cocky and confidence. When you have six championships your confident, when you got 0 your cocky.

Hell yeah you earned your confidence. But not one of you a**holes is humble. That would be like me saying I don't wear shorts when it's snowing. I mean come on now.

I love Erk's sense of humor. "When it would rain real hard, and it would cover all those objects, it would be kind of pretty"
