Every now and then I get a gray bar in the reply field when I try to reply to a thread or edit a post. Won't let me edit my post or reply to the thread. What does it mean? Is it a form of a "timeout"?

There is something like 5 second rule between posts and it just lets you know you have to wait.

What browser are you using?

Would it be happening while your posting or quoting a post that has an embeded tweet in it?

I noticed it happening to me a while back and figured out it was only happening when I tried to embed someone's tweet or was replying to a message that had one.

I did have some friends that accidentally wandered into a grey bar once.
just a bunch of old guys in spandex and chaps...

Not for me ... But nothing wrong with that...
I'm sure what happens in a grey bar stays in a grey bar

You can't talk about grey bars and not mention the Blue Oyster.

Shouldn't be it. It's happening to me sometimes when I haven't posted in 15 minutes or so.

Chrome.

I use Chrome too....maybe it has to do with the browser?
