3. Price: Eagles looking for small victories

[“I think (the Cougars) may be the most talented team in the league,” said GSU coach Jeff Price. “They’re explosive, they have great inside presence and they shoot the ball well on the perimeter. They pretty much have the makeup of a championship-caliber team.”]

4. Suspended players leave team short-handed

[“They are suspended indefinitely until such time that a decision can be made on the issues involved,” said Athletic Director Sam Baker. Baker declined to comment on what the issues surrounding the players were. “They [school officials] are looking into something,” said Price. He was unsure when they would return, if at all this season.]

[“The idea was that if we could reduce the cost of having to go to the tournament, in some cases eight teams in some cases four teams, wouldn’t be going so they wouldn’t be spending that money. 6. Cougars' Jermaine Johnson returns to team after one-game suspension

["Jermaine has served a one-game suspension and will be back in his normal spot in the starting lineup tomorrow night," Cremins said. "I felt the suspension was necessary. I wanted to send a message to him and the rest of the team that I will not tolerate that kind of behavior. The situation is past us now and we look forward to having Jermaine back on the floor against Georgia Southern."]

7. Cougars reinstate Johnson

["This is going to be another tough road game," said Cremins, whose team will be playing on the road for the fourth time in six games. "Georgia Southern has always been a very tough place to play. They've got the injury bug this year, but it's a really, really tough environment. The two years I've been here, we have not been able to win there."]

8. Boys Basketball Region Quarterfinals

[King is looking to win its first playoff game and is one win shy of tying a school record for most victories in a season. Senior forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick, a Georgia Southern recruit, leads the 5A-District 8 champs with 14.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Land O' Lakes lost in the quarterfinals last year.]
