3. Unlikely suspects gain huge ground

[Georgia Southern: The Eagles have a tough road ahead with two-straight road series at UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State, but currently have much confidence after another successful weekend that ended with an overall record of 11-1. The Eagles beat Winthrop in mid-week action and also defeated Indiana and LeMoyne in the Eagle Invitational. The most important win of the week, though, came Sunday afternoon in a 14-4 triumph over East Carolina. GSU certainly has more to prove, but is a mid-major to watch this season.]

4. Veterans taste sweetness of victory

5. Clark's 39 leads Wilmington over Buffalo

[For Wilmington, Cedric McGinnis added 21 points with Alex Harper tossing in 13. For the Stampede, Tyrone Rayson had a monster game with 26 points and 19 rebounds. Derick Payne added 20 for Buffalo.]
