Each day we strive to find article links involving Georgia Southern athletics and former Georgia Southern athletes. Should you find we missed an article link, please reply to help keep the Eagle Faithful informed:

1. Offense Explodes for Season-High 24 Runs in Win over Bethune-Cookman

[“We were focused tonight and did a good job putting them away. It was a great team effort. After a tough loss last night, you have to bounce back. You’re going to have games where you play like that during a season but I thought we did a tremendous job bouncing back,” said Wirnsberger. “I did realize I tied my home run career-high. (Chris) Shehan asked me the other day how many 2-home run games I had. Right now I’m just trying to hit line drives and my swing feels good.”]

2. Back on track, Eagles clobber Cookman

[“It was definitely good to set the tone early,” said GSU coach Rodney Hennon. “We took some good swings tonight and finally found a way to put that game away. We didn’t pitch quite as well today but we’ve had a lot of games early in the season where pitching has picked us up, and that’s baseball.”]

3. Lidge makes first pitching appearance

[Durbin allowed a single and an RBI double to prospect Chris Walker in his spring debut, but was happy with his progress in his one inning of work.]

4. No Storybook Ending for Forest Park

[Forest Park (22-5) has enjoyed a remarkable four-year run under Jackson (who plans to attend George Washington University), Gatling (Stony Brook) and Scott (Georgia Southern), further cementing the program as one of the best in Virginia.]
