Each day we strive to find article links involving Georgia Southern athletics and former Georgia Southern athletes. Should you find we missed an article link, please reply to help keep the Eagle Faithful informed:

1. Georgia Southern University Provides Update on Football Bowl Subdivision Feasibility Study

[“With the multitude of factors that had to be analyzed, this study helped the University identify the resources required to succeed at our current level of competition and identify the improvements and facilities needed should the University elect to pursue this change”, said Ron Core, vice president for business and finance. “It is important for us not to underestimate the funding required and at the same time, maintain a realistic perspective of potential funding sources.”]

On vacation this week. Took my daughter down to Georgia Southern on Tuesday and Wednesday. Got her moved in to her residence hall before Color Guard practices and managed to catch a quick glimpse of the football practices on Wednesday. Hard to tell much in practice in shells. Took some time today to watch GT's scrimmage. Spent some time afterward talking to some of the former GSU coaches--Smith, Monken and Sewak. And, today I found out some long time family friends have a daughter cheering this season for FAU. So I will get to be an Owl fan this year. We'll enjoy tomorrow with my two youngest daughters before school starts back on Monday. Will start the article links back then.
