1. Fall Football Camp #5

["It was a good day. I think we got better from yesterday, which yesterday to be honest with you may have been the best practice we've had out here since I've been the coach. We got a little bit better, I'm not talking about as far as the execution and knowing what to do but our attitude. It was awesome to see the guys wanting to learn and flying around," said Hatcher. "We full tackled a little bit. I thought we had a couple of good plays on offense. Thankfully the defense got after the offenses' back side. We had some big hits, and some good football that was being played today which was good to see this early in camp."]

2. Hatcher feels good about Eagles

[When Chris Hatcher walked off the practice field Thursday, he expressed satisfaction with the way his third season as the head coach at Georgia Southern had started. “We’re light years ahead of where we were (after the first day of practice this year compared to the past couple of years),” Hatcher said. “Maybe not as much as far as knowing what to do on the field, but our attitude is tremendous.]

3. Flowers blossoming on GSU line

["This feels great," Flowers said. "It feels great to be back out here... I screwed up my freshman year, failed a couple (of classes) and that messed me up, but I'm back on track to graduate on time again and be back here. "I just hated seeing those guys out there on Saturday without me. I regretted that I did that, but I'm looking forward to the future."]

4. Rollins wins Reno Tahoe Open

[The best of the Australasians in the field was Rod Pampling, who finished alone in 8th position. Marc Leishman was 47th, Matt Jones was 17th, Steve Elkington 22nd, James Nitties 26th, Grant Waite 53rd and Aron Price 66th.]

5. Final-hole eagle gives Tidland victory in Nationwide's Wichita Open

[Blake Adams notched his fourth consecutive top-10 finish and moves up a spot to fourth on the money list.]

6. L'Kings capture first 3-game win streak of second half

[They grabbed an early 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Seager in the third inning, but spot starter Blake Nation served up a two-run shot to Leonardo Gil in the bottom of the third, putting the Cougars ahead 2-1.]

7. Miscues costing Pelicans

[And Lynchburg's go-ahead runs in the sixth inning could have been thwarted had left fielder Chris Shehan caught a ball that sailed just over his head and hit the base of the wall in the short porch with no base runners and two outs.]

8. Sheridan Stays Hot In Hot Rods Win Sunday

[Jeremy Beckham then delivered a ground ball triple into the left field corner that scored two more runs to bump the swell to 5-1.]
