1. Volleyball Dig Pink Match Set for Tuesday

[When the Georgia Southern volleyball team takes the court on Tuesday, October 13, against Southern Conference foe Davidson, the Eagles will also be participating in the Dig Pink Campaign, a movement to raise awareness and money for the prevention of breast cancer.]

2. Van Dyke Honored as SoCon Volleyball Player of the Week

3. Eagles trying to take positives from loss

5. Mocs Nearing the Top-25

[Following a dramatic 14-7 win at Samford last weekend, the Chattanooga Mocs football team is off to its best start since 1997 with a 4-1 record. The Mocs are currently tied for third in the Southern Conference at 2-1 and are just outside of the top-25 in the national rankings.]

6. Fitzgerald out vs. Eagles

[University of Tennessee at Chattanooga tailback Bryan Fitzgerald, who was leading the Southern Conference in rushing heading into last Saturday's game at Samford, will be out at least a week with a sprained left foot. Fitzgerald sustained the injury in the first quarter of UTC's 14-7 win, and coach Russ Huesman said Monday that the senior will be out for this Saturday's game at Georgia Southern and possibly the Oct. 24 game at Elon.]

7. Mocs' Fitzgerald To Miss Ga. Southern Game

[It was good news and bad news Monday afternoon for the Chattanooga Mocs football team. While the Mocs (4-1) were voted to No. 31 in the weekly Football Championship Subdivision coaches' poll on the strength of last Saturday's 14-7 road win against Samford, the UTC coaches also learned that senior running back Bryan Fitzgerald will miss Saturday's game at Georgia Southern due to a sprained left foot suffered in the Samford game.]

8. Hillenmeyer remains sidelined as Bears take to practice field

[The team just started what will be about a 90-minute practice and Hillenmeyer, defensive lineman Israel Idonije and running back Adrian Peterson were the only players noticeably missing from action when media was permitted to view. Idonije had knee surgery last Monday, and Peterson has a sprained knee.]
