["We're still a work in progress, we're getting better each week, and hopefully we'll start playing well for four quarters in all phases of the game," said Head Coach Chris Hatcher. "Chattanooga comes in -- we're the underdog to them, probably for the first time in a long time. They're playing with a lot of confidence, they have a great quarterback (B.J. Each year, this tradition continues to build and it adds to the excitement to see our crowd decked out in blue."]

4. Eagles return home for key conference game against Mocs

[“I wish the record was better,” quarterback Lee Chapple said. “But we can still win out and get in the playoffs. We’re good enough to beat everyone we have left, but on the other hand, everyone we have left is capable of beating us.”]

5. Takeaway triumph

[The Eagles are seventh in the SoCon in turnover margin at minus-2, with SoCon highs in both takeaways (13) and giveaways (15). "We're like the worst in turnover margin, so hopefully we can turn that around this week," Georgia Southern coach Chris Hatcher said.]

6. Mocs Continue Road Swing At Georgia Southern

[Georgia Southern is 3-3 on the year and tied with the Mocs for third place in the SoCon at 2-1. GSU has wins over Albany, Western Carolina and Wofford while posting losses at South Dakota State, Elon and last weekend at North Carolina.]

[Linebacker Mike Peterson is looking forward to seeing his brother Adrian Peterson, a former Georgia Southern star, who plays for the Bears. "I pretty much raised him," Peterson said. "I think they’re even more excited about it than I am."]
