    Re: Firtz on TV tonight

What trick plays did we run under Fritz?

And when did we run a double reverse? That's the second time you've said that.

    Re: Firtz on TV tonight

It looked more like an single back/Ace formation. RB depth was about 5 yards deep which is too far back for it to be the flex.

    They can look similar though.

Actually we were playing Campbell already.

But we have Boise State instead of Houston.

So find something else to ***** about.

In fairness, we were until we made the deal with Boise.

    Re: Firtz on TV tonight

The point is it doesn't mean anything for us.

We really just need a catch all scores thread for each week for stuff like this, although we have the generic 2019 FBS thread in the Open forum.

I think we forget that Stowers hid away in the northeast for a while too.

Re: Eagle Fans at Gameday in Athens

When I went in 2004 (my first and only time I'll ever set foot up there), I did zero to antagonize fans, especially on my walk to the stadium.

Granted I didn't have any drinks thrown at me but...

Uh, he got made an offer we couldn't counter so he would have been dumb to stay.

Yes the other stuff is true too, but if we could have offered a comparable salary, it's possible he would have...

Poll: Re: Predict our 2019 Conference Record

I'm just trying to figure out how we have the highest per recruit average in the SBC and how Lunsford has brought in/has commits from 6 of our top 10 highest all time recruit rankings if our...

Poll: Re: Predict our 2019 Conference Record

The reason Fritz was so successful was because of how good our OL was. It also wasn't as dramatic of a change since we had been running zone blocking schemes under Monken as well, more so in 2013.

    Re: Minnesota Score Prediction Thread

I'll answer my own question since the only thing that's happening now is petty passive aggressive responses elsewhere.

Out of data for 475 games, we've had 3 non-offensive TDs in in 3 games and 2...

This exactly. They did what they were supposed to do and made great things happen. But we were lucky that the result came out the way it did. That's why people preach process, not results.

    Re: Minnesota Score Prediction Thread

Because recovered fumbles are 50/50 at best. Recovered fumbles run back for touchdowns are even less likely. The fact that two of them occurred in the same game is highly unlikely.

The actions to cause the turnovers are something that's repeatable.

The bounce of the ball into the hands of both Byrd and Brinson, and the fact that Brinson was able to cut across the field...

    Re: Old conference mates......

We're still talking about 18-22 year olds. It's easy to get swept up in the 10 wins and think they know what they're doing.

And by complacent, it can be just not putting the same attention to...

Overall I don't disagree with much of what you're saying. I'm not really sure we've regressed, I just think we're seeing what happens with getting complacent after success as well as dealing with...

It's possible they picked it up from Army or Coast Guard in the northeast. Army has run flex in the past before Monken, and I'm not exactly sure where Coast Guard picked it up from but they do run...

Based on the fact the appeal for a reduction in the suspension wasn't approved, I'm less inclined to think it was just a credit problem. I know athletes have to be careful about managing credits if...
