Re: Who would you take #1?

First Round would be boring, we all know it would be the QB's and AP going in that First Round.

It gets interesting in the later rounds. After (obviously) taking a qb in the first, do you go...

    Re: The good ole days

2004 team was an absolute offensive machine. This might be painful, but was this the best GSU team to NOT win the NC? The '98 team was a juggernaut and I never saw the '88 team but the '04 team...

Amen sir. Don't forget about the HUGE block of cheese on the salad bar.
  5. Re: Great tradition and bright future in the Southern Conference

If you ask them, they already play the best.
  6. Re: Great tradition and bright future in the Southern Conference

Does the SoCon need to go North into Virginia? I'd rather the expansion go South into Florida and keep going West into Alabama.
  7. Re: Great tradition and bright future in the Southern Conference

Good article, interesting take on possible SoCon expansion.

    Re: Uniform Thread

Really? I love Texas' away all whites with the white helmets. Really "clean" look. Doesn't hurt that Texas has by far one of the best logos ever. Never been a big fan of their home jerseys, for...

    Re: Football: All-Time Greatest (D-Lineman)

My vote is for Freddy P.

Don't have a specific highlight but I seem to always remember him making the big sack or being around when there was a fumble. Guy was a monster.

    Re: Uniform Thread

I don't know if there's a specific rule in college, but there are a few professional precedents. Seems like there's a few different ways to go.

    Re: Lucky, Luckie, Luckey?

Bingo. I don't know that I'd say Jaybo is any more athletic than any of the other guys we've got, but he's been there, done that with this offense and that gives him a HUGE step up on the...

Re: Tracy Ham attends Georgia Tech practice

Went to High School with Reshard, he could have played QB, A or B back in the TO. Would have been interesting had he come to GSU.

    Re: Uniform Thread

I like the names on the back as well. Could care less about the "GS" on the neck, I don't know that I've ever noticed it before.

Have to assume that the blue pants have been put away for good, or...
  15. Re: Jamere Valentine on practice and the option offense

I liked that part as well. Even using the "We" part was cool since he's never played a down of GSU football in a triple option format.

I'm no body language expert, but what I took from the...

Re: Coach Monken video after day 3

Not pulling any punches huh? Like the candor, hope the no-nonsense attitude rubs off on the team.

Interesting take on the Barney situation as well as his thoughts toward the receivers.
  17. Re: Jaybo Shaw on the banks of Beautiful Eagle Creek

Fair enough, just didn't know what the rules were regarding future transfers and attendance at practice. I would assume there's no rule against him watching practice but you never know with the NCAA.
  18. Re: Jaybo Shaw on the banks of Beautiful Eagle Creek

I was wondering the same thing.

Also, are there any specific rules as far as Jaybo being at practice?

    Re: Barney off team....

My thoughts exactly. Instability in any setting will breed turnover and attrition, no matter if it's a football team or a Fortune 500 Company.

    Re: Monken Emphasizing Toughness

Toughness is more than pushing a large amount of weight away from your chest as many times as you can, but having only 11 guys on a Division 1 football program that can bench 300 is pretty sad.

    Re: Football: All-Time Greatest (Nick-Name)

Tom "Captain Kickoff" LaRocco was a good one, I seem to remember there being an article in the SH or GA calling him that.
  22. Re: Video - Monken reacts to Urbano quitting team

For me, it's a little too soon to start with the Henton comparisons. We can all speculate that Urbano didn't want to compete for the job, just like we can speculate that Henton didn't want to "tough...

    Re: AP update....kinda

I don't care if he ever plays another down in the NFL, that statement sums up AP as well as any of the runs we've seen him make.

    Re: Football: All-Time Greatest (B-Back)

#1 is obvious, so I'm going to say Jermaine Austin.

Following probably the greatest player in GSU history can't be easy but Jermaine put up some great seasons at GSU. Hard for a guy who was the...
