Thread: If GSU football did go back to 10 years ago

  1. Default If GSU football did go back to 10 years ago

Here are some of the things we would see and hear.

“Western Carolina came in here, you could dig Knute Rockne up, it wasn’t going to help them,” he said. “Sometimes you’re overmatched.”

He said he remembers at Georgia Southern watching opposing teams before games jumping up and down in the end zone chanting, “We ready” and telling an assistant, “They think they’re ready,” he said. “And when the game would start, all of the sudden they weren’t as ready as they thought.”

Johnson said the ceiling for his offense is to score on every possession and that, as such, “we’re not close” to it. He said this team is probably not the closest he’s gotten. He mentioned one team at Georgia Southern that averaged 50 points per game, “and the starters probably never played more than a half.”

What do say to turning the clock back 10 years and scoring 50 points per game?

We're scoring almost 47 a game right now... Nothing wrong with that.
