Thanks for pointing that out. I have a 'ticket' in with the host to find out exactly how some code got inserted into the source code of the front page. I had another issue (similar), but unrelated that demonstrated some problems.

It's looking like I might have to consider moving hosts again. I am supposed to be the only person with root access (except the host), and this is the second occurrence I've had where something I did not alter/add is on 'my' server.

I can honestly say I've never seen someone continue to be so preoccupied with something so absolutely unimportant

And I doubt that caused the 404 error. For whatever reason, there are hundreds of them a month.

I got the server error for about 6 hours today. as for the google malfunction, it appears oldfart hacked your edit access to google.
