Coach said in todays paper, "we got to get Dobson ready"(for this Sat.), who knows maybe a silver lineing in some black clouds, maybe Dobson's comeing out party.

UGA will beat us by over 21, I'll be happy if we remain somewhat compettitive.(we have NO kicking game, minimal passing attack and a offense that tends to "stall", and after yesterday, a questionable pass defense.)

especially since they face the option every year in Tech and know how to defend it well.

I don't think that's going to be our biggest problem.

Murray throwing for 400+ yards is looking pretty likely.

If you are 0/4 in one game and 4/4 in another, you wouldn't consider those 2PCs as successful as XPs, but you'd have the same number of points.
It's funny because there have been actual statistical analyses done on this and apparently the consensus is that:

    1. Coaches don't go for 2 often enough.
    2. Coaches don't onside kick often enough.
    3. Coaches don't go for it on 4th down often enough.

I'll try to find some of the articles I saw about it. Interesting read.

Let me be clear, I'm a fan of going for two more often and going for fourth down plays at five yards and under.

Not a big fan of onside kicks, though.
People never grow up. They just learn how to act in public.

What is interesting with the App game last year and this year is that when we had a great kicker last year, we went for it on 4th down a lot. This year, we have zero kicking game, but Monken tried to kick it on 4th down. Oh well, maybe the way we lost last year was on his mind.

I'm a big fan of onside kicks for teams with bad defenses but good offense. If I was Baylor or WVU I would rarely kick off.

Chapter 2 "Go For It" in Scorecasting by Moskowitz explains this very well.
