That's why NDSU gets Gameday for beating a team that will finish in the middle of a very mediocre Big 12, while JMU doesn't get the kind of attention for beating a team that went to a BCS Bowl. Kanasas State wasn't even the best FBS team to lose to an FCS team this year...that's Oregon State.

Also, SEC is a clear step up from the Big 10. Remember when people thought App. State could keep it close against LSU in 2008 or that they'd have a decent chance against Florida in 2010?
I'm pretty sure we're one of the few wins against a current SEC team ever.

When Citadel beat Arkansas they were not in the SEC, etc.

They did. Me and Klak actually ran into the WR that caught the game tying TD here in Warner Robins several months ago.

Beating Florida "at this time" is as good as it get's. You can compare and contrast all day long but NOTHING compares to this win now. I remember watching Central Florida beat UGA in the Liberty Bowl back in 2010 thinking this is feaking unbelievable, these d-bags are in our back yard. Because it was GEORGIA... Not Oregon or Kansas or Arkansas or Michigan. Beating Florida in the swamp in our transition year in our recruiting bed at this time does more to impact a programs future than any prior victory with a similar disparity. This win may not have received as much national attention as say the Appy win but for the purposes of impacting the program positively this win is unsurpassed, unequaled, and unparalleled. PERIOD!

Lambuth beat Georgia State and the win was so defining, Lambuth closed it's doors only a few months later. Way to go out "on top!"

Citadel beat SC in 1990. They hold an overall record of 10-75-4 against the SEC. That's going WAY back though.

Our win was poetic, last FCS game(in classification), moving next season to FBS schedule. "Goodbye with a bang" to the old, Hello SB and FBS we're coming. Just a nice way to end our run in FCS. 6 NC's and a win over a SEC team. We've done all we can in FCS, it is NOW fitting that we move up to the next level. AND, until somebody wins 6, we will go down as the greatest FCS program of all time! as Elvis said, "Thank-you, Thank-you very much".
