How is that any different than when we hired Monken? His highest job at the FBS level was just that, a running backs coach.

There's a huge difference in this job from 2010 to 2015.

Hmmm down program FCS job vs fast rising FBS job that is now paying probably quadruple the going rate in the FCS....... I am not sure but the candidate pool might be a tad bit deeper now. Just an opinion.

I agree with that. I just think it's a bit much to rule someone out because their highest role is an FBS assistant coach.

That's the big question. Do we go back to a flexbone guy or do we continue on this pistol/shotgun option scheme. It probably depends on who is available.

I'll be shocked if we go back to the flex.

Easy......we go back to our heritage and hire someone from the PJ tree.

Go back the TO.......that built this program!

I don't care if it does po the bulldog sympathizers around here!

We have more flexible personnel then we had before. We don't HAVE to be an option team at all. We have FB/TE bodies now and more capable QBs.

I think we'd all prefer an option bases attack of course

IF we were still FCS yes but the list of coaches with proven college HC and or coordinator experience that would give their right arm to have this job makes it kind of silly and is selling this job way short. It could be the right move but there is nothing to base that on whereas the Citadel coach and CSU coach have tangible proof they can win. Just like Fritz did.
