Also, it looks like they are using a pickaxe to remove the turf.
A negative consequence for losing to GagSt.

Paulson stadium, and Statesboro in general, is the lords gift to earth for growing Bermuda. Sandy soils, high temps, and water is basically all that stuff needs and it will just about grow on asphalt. If the field were to be re sodded entirely with sod from a reputable sod farm and cared for properly, we could have the best natural turf field in the country.

I know the debate over injuries on fake turf vs real turf is ongoing, but I just have to believe that if fake turf was the way to go, wouldn't all the major sec universities be installing it??? They certainly have the capitol to do so. Not to mention how hot it is during the Statesboro summer, I've got to believe that the fake turf will get blistering hot after soaking up 100+ degree beaming sun all day.

I just generally think the fake turf is a mistake.
I agree......but folks around here want to kill any and everything traditional.....real grass.....the flexbone.......probably even all us old guys that are still here since day 1.

Well it would make things easier..... (Smile)
A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as moving the quarterback five yards behind the center and actually throwing the ball on occasion.

oh good grief. Is that the worlds smallest violin i hear? If last year and this year proved anything to me, it's that we can still have a rushing attack that leads the nation in yards if we want, and not do it just like PJ, Flex, under center hambone, whatever you want to call it. That ship has sailed for me. What I see in Fritz spread O, is that we have a lot of options. Got a guy who is a better runner than passer? no problem, run it a lot. Got a guy that can run ok, but has a pretty good arm as well? no problem, open up the passing game a little more. So yes, i see a great advantage in that, we don't HAVE to have a running back under center; and we can get better talented QB's that are true dual threats. We don't have a dual threat QB right now, but that would be nice. the only GSU tradition i don't want to see killed is WINNING. Everything else is fluff if you never competing for a title, championship, bowl bid/win, etc.
