Carl Kearney made the Jets' practice squad as a wide receiver. Carl might be the best special teams player they've ever had at GS. He was absolutely awesome, and probably didn't catch 3 passes total in his career. Never started as a WR, but because of great athleticism and speed got a tryout with the Jets and wound up making the practice squad. You could win a lot of bar bets with this info. Really fine guy, too. He was a winner. Great leader with an imposing presence.

Keaton liked to catch punts with his hands and passes with his body, which is backwards, but hey

Hope MC has a super regular season final game, that could set him up big going forward in his career!

If you are referring to a “muffed” punt in Athens in 2015, that play, by rule, should not have happened. There was an inadvertent whistle. Which, according to NCAA rules should have nullified the play. The officials chose to ignore the rule. I saw the official who had blown his whistle early come in, pointing to himself. Reporters on our sideline say they heard the whistle. We were screwed.

Don't know if he got on the field or not, but the play by play shows no targets during the pretty pathetic outing vs the Titans last weekend.

We had a receiver in the 80's named Sharpe, Shannon's cousin, that made a roster I believe. I'm thinking New Orleans.
