If a coach consistently is rehired then I'm not concerned. There's a lot of factors with these coaches when you consider FAMILY, MEDICAL CONDITIONS, COACHING CHANGES, OC changes or promotions, HC changes etc.

If someone had stats that he didn't produce at these schools then that would be more concerning

Did Tyson Summers coach the bowl game vs Nevada December 29, 2015?

Noticed that our new OL coach was at the same position with Nevada vs Colorado State in 2015 NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl.

Pretty sure he was already on the job here at that point.

I couldn't find any time where he was fired for his personal performance, only leaving schools for better jobs or because his boss left/ was fired.

    Coaching Experience
    2018-: Georgia Southern (offensive line)
2017: Charleston Southern (offensive line) - Left CSU for GS
2017: Alabama State (offensive line) - ASU got his name wrong in their press release announcing his hire; CSU coach was at Citadel in 1995
    2016: Penn State (analyst)
2013-15: Nevada (offensive line) - Open heart surgery in spring sidelined him, left for a less stressful (off-field) position?
2012: UMass (run game coord./OL) - Left after OC/in-season roommate took another job
2011: New Mexico (offensive line) - UNM head coach Locksley fired mid-season
2005-10: Louisiana (asst. HC/offensive line) -ULL head coach Bustle fired at the end of 2010
2004: Texas A&M-Kingsville (offensive line) - Jumping from Division 2 to FBS
2003: UTEP (defensive ends/recruiting) - UTEP head coach Nord fired at end of 2003
    2001-02: UTEP (tight ends)
    2000: Bowling Green (offensive line)
    1998-99: Southeast Missouri (offensive line)
1997: Kent State (special teams/tight ends)
    1996: Lenoir-Rhyne (offensive line/recruiting)
    1995: The Citadel (tight ends)
    1994: Urbana (offensive coordinator)
    1993: Illinois State (tight ends)
    1991-92: Louisville (G.A.)

I do think the stint at Penn State is interesting, although he wasn't an on the field coach for that.

This makes our fourth offensive line coach in four years. That ain't good. IMO, this was one of our most critical hires.

Its not a good pattern. Always nice to have consistency in OL. That's out of the new OL Coach control so I'm going to give the guy my full support. He inherited a mess on the OL, has a lot to fix in technique and talent depth.

Maybe some of that Brent Pry magic that TK loves rubbed off on him, LOL.
