This. Decimated with injuries, graduation, not many returning starters. New OL coach. The distraction of the accusation of player mistreatment levied against Davie didn't help. Lots of distractions for them this year. Given DeBesse's success at SHSU and NM prior to this year, it looks like DeBesse's premature departure is a victim of a perfect storm.

    I would think so too.

Personnel is the key. This offense should be gold for us. Let's hit the trail and into the homes.

Because he has one at NM in a real G5 conference? It is NM man put some context to it. They are going up against three teams in Cali, a service academy and five state flagship level schools with no recruiting base. Their counter part in the same state is a dumpster fire and has been for literally decades and so were they until this offense was brought there. The state of NM has 7 players with rankings higher than a three star....dude 7 and most of those get poached out of state, what is any team in NM ever going to be? San Diego state has more than that within a mile of their campus probably.

Here's DeBesse dropping 600 yards, 10 yards per play, and 59 points on that same ULM team.

If you don't watch anything else, I'd highly recommend the 7:37 mark in this video...

And with that, we drop the mic.

I did see that he was with Fritz at SHSU. That pistol formation with 3 backs lined up single file behind the QB is fun to watch unfold. Fritz wasn't here long enough to fully develop it. Hopefully DeBesse will be. "The pitch" is pretty much what people like more so than the flexbone. Basic elements of the TO are there with this style- it's just that varying styles will use the elements to varying degrees, in addition to things not seen with the flexbone. All flexbone is TO, but not all TO is flexbone. This style of option is the best way to please both camps while evolving within the option base. Not to mention, very promising! I am hopeful of a prolific, productive offense that has a ton of excitement!
