Thread: NSD #1

Jesus this program is a mess. I just hope we can keep this staff together for 3 years to dig us out of this hole. TS turned this program into Georgia State in 1.5 seasons. We can't PAY a kid to sign now.

Yep, two of our commits only had offers to Valdosta State, other than ours.

We've already experienced attrition in the past year, as well as gaining back scholarship slots from when we were penalized by the NCAA. We should be in the 18/20 area.

This should not be a 10 or less class. That's how you get imbalanced rosters.
You only have 85 spots in total. I am not an expert on gray and blue shirting but that is the only other way to "over sign".

Hopefully this is more of a hold over mentality from Tyson. Lets all just calm down until the 72 hours is over and then the traditional signing day. Our OC has been here just a few days and our DC isnt even here, why I dont know but not here yet.

We gained back a couple scholarships from penalty, and we had some kids leave the program, so that frees up spots again.

Exactly. 8 graduations plus 2 scholarships gained back, plus a handful of guys that we lost through attrition, and you're at 15 slots easy.

You should never be signing a small class.

Some P5 teams manage to go over 25 magically all the time....I dont know how but AL seems to sign no less than 24-25 every single year. 4X25=100 yet only 85 spots....A lot kids get "injuries" I hear and get to remain on the team and school paid for due to the "injury" but dont count against the 85 if I heard right.
