I guess that explains why he was a 190 lb Edge. I never knew that part of the story.

5-11, 190-pound Ronald at DE going up against 6-8, 330-pound (it really should have been 420, if you know what I mean) Bernard Williams one sunny afternoon in Sanford Stadium.

Back to our original premise. Looking at the new Savannahnow.com site (since Gatehouse bought out Billy Morris' papers, such as Augusta, Athens, SMN and Jacksonville, their webisites have changed appearances), looks like the Morning News tapped a guy who had been stringing for them I think to take Deen's spot on their roster. Don't know if that means he'll get GSU as a beat. Haven't read it enough to know.

He’s green and brash and opinionated in real life... far less so in his stringer pieces and tv time.

He will be worthy of reading, regardless.

He’s also an unabashed UGA/SEC honk, although he’s never had to operate in a world where that wasn’t a favorable position for him to hold. If he can get away from his adopted team and cover GS for what it is, I think he’ll be ok.
