Thread: ESPN+

    Default ESPN+

ESPN+ will become available on April 12th. From the looks to things all of the Sun Belts content that was on ESPN3 will be moved to ESPN+.

I though this information needed its own tread instead of being just in the CUSA thread.

Looks like a separate subscription even if you pay for ESPN as part of your cable package. This is obviously catered to cord cutters only.

Cord Cutters who still want to watch ESPN, ESPN2, U, News, etc will still need a cable login. I don't believe ESPN+ includes those channels.

It's $4.99 per month. Most online subscriptions offer a reduced price if you buy an annual subscription though. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like $4.99/month or $49.99 for a year.

Corrected my post which should have read $49.99 for a year

Got this info from several sites.

As a recent cord cutter, I'm good with this. I'd like to see more a la carte channel options... even Sling TV doesn't really offer a good a la carte option. Right now I'm using Amazon Fire with my Prime account and Kodi plus the lowest DirecTV Now service. Pretty much get anything and everything I want so far. Monthly bill dropped to right at $35 a month leaving plenty of room for a few add on services if I want.

The network folks are getting it figured out. In a few years they will have the cord cutters back up to the same money as before.

Sun Belt is included with all the FCS conferences. No other G5 or P5 conferences, nice lateral move going to the Sun Belt.
