Seth, OUTSTANDING!!! Our pitching can win us the SB, our pitching can win us games in the NCAA's. THE PROBLEM, as we all know is our lack of bats. Hopefully the kids will start hitting. Great two game sweep.

I have to think that 1-0 complete game shutouts from a pitcher in college are EXCEEDINGLY rare. Well done SS!

Might be the best pitching performance since Sam Howard blanked Florida State in the Tallahassee regional in 2014.
Don't choose to be annoyed. Choose to be amused.

If you think TK is the reason we don't have better non-conference football schedules, see this post.

Our current RPI is 81, which is higher than our RPI at the end of last season at 86. Anyone who thinks the strength of schedule is poor does not know what they're talking about.

Well UGAly didn't help our RPI much when people were complaining. Now they are like #18. No one knew at that time. Anyone who knew what they were talking about knew SoMiss was top 25. Depending on the year, we play around 6 top 115 RPI midweek games (CoC, GT, Mercer all x2), would like to get back to playing UF, USCar to midweek, and add Clemson and FSU too, if not a series with one.
Not sure how Elon ranks this year.
Just imagine if we played Jacksonville this year. I saw they were in the top 100.

    +1

The schedule is essientially the same as last year, we rolled off MTSU & Memphis and added Southern Miss & Fairfield. The big difference in out RPI/SoS is UGA is turned out to be good this year.

Getting abused by another bad in-state team.
Too many Urkels on your team that's why your wins low

Yeah, losing 12-3 at home to a Kennesaw State team that was barely .500 is not good. And, 0-2 against Mercer this year, 0-2 against GT, 1-2 against UGA and 1-2 in our last series against GAST.

Georgia Southern was once the best baseball program in the state of Georgia, now we would have to beat Savannah State to claim the #6 spot, very disappointing.

Just not buying the ice from Joe the Eskimo that does not know...... At this point, this team could lose every midweek game left in season and really does not change the goals for the team... only one way into NCAA tournament and that is winning the conference tournament.... best way to win the conference tournament is to position the team with the best seed possible in the tournament... GS going forward will save their pitching each week for the remainder of the season. GS has played Georgia(18), Southern Miss(13) Coastal(23) and Ga Tech(threw their #2 at us in 1st game and the big lefty who shut down Auburn against us in 2nd game - and just took 2-3 from Florida State) .. Mercer is good, Elon’s 1 and 2 are real good, College of Charleston(beat Georgia 3 -0) rebounding big this year.....this GS team was more than close to taking series from both Georgia and Southern Miss(see umpire strike zone in game 1), yep, inhales vigorously losing to KSU tonight but nobody will care if GS wins the conference tournament.... and makes the NCAA tournament ...

Bump. It gets discouraging when you see a great pitched game and in spite of the anemic bats, win 1-0. Then in a less than stellar pitching performance the bats "don't come to the rescue". The bats need to wake up quick or hope Eich, Seth and Chase throw close to shutouts every time they toe the slab. Sophomore slumps from 3 guys we know can hit better, freshman that haven't shown as of yet that they can hit close to .300 and 2 transfers that have been a bust. It will be a uphill battle. Let's hope the pitching this weekend at USA holds up and our bats scratch out 3-4 runs to get the series, with the lack of hitting I highly doubt a sweep but let's hope we get two out of three. Our "Big 3" know exactly what they have to do each time out, pitch an outstanding game, by that I mean they're not placing extra pressure on themselves but they just know they arnt going to get a lot of run support.
