Thread: Alumnus Plants GS Flag at North Pole

  1. Talking Alumnus Plants GS Flag at North Pole

Figured this would be a good break from the usual doom and gloom. Now we can say the Eagles truly are on top! Big shout out to David Berger.

Not any day soon... I have a feeling that it's going to be a LONG time before UGA agrees to play us again in football. Our last game was one of the reasons they let Richt go, and for them it's pretty much become a lose/lose situation. I'm betting we probably have 8-10 more games vs. Ga Tech before we ever set foot in Athens on a Saturday again.

As for the original post, that is awesome!
We had plain white pants, we had plain navy-blue shirts, a number on the front and a number on the back. We couldn't even put a stripe down the middle of our helmets. We used a strip of tape. ... Those kind of things screamed, 'TEAM!' - Erk Russell

That's amazing. A Georgia Southern flag was also flown to the International Space Station aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery back in 1999 and given to the school. It reached an altitude of 200 miles and traveled 3.8 million miles during the mission.
