No matter if we go north or south for recruits, the point is they are all within shouting distance and there's no reason why we shouldn't be top of the Belt in recruiting year in, year out.

You realize NC is south of DC, thus closer to Statesboro, right? Nonetheless, don't act like a large quantity of our recruits are from NC or Miami/FLL. Literally nobody on our current roster is from the Miami area, and we might have like two from NC.

Reallocating resources to recruit in a northern market surrounded by SEC, ACC, AND AAC, B10 & B12 programs, when we are in the middle of 2 of the top 3 recruiting states in the country, would be a special kind of stupid.

DC area players are not recruited. They have lobbyists.

That was supposed to be part of the Gast pipeline in the Miles era....probably why you're struggling to think of it.

Georgia and Florida produce more FBS players per capita than DC, but we're supposed to go all the way up there to recruit. LoL.
Don't choose to be annoyed. Choose to be amused.

If you think TK is the reason we don't have better non-conference football schedules, see this post.

    No joke.

Get a map of the US and a compass.

Put the point at Statesboro and the pencil on Sarasota. Draw a circle, and you can find any player you need within that area.

There’s no reason to spend much time, energy, or money outside of that circle.

Isn't skins a "Southern Speed" guy too?

Gonna get that in DC and not in GA/FL?

Nah, if we want to improve overall recruiting prospects. Why limit ourselves to GA, FL, SC and Alabama. Texas, Midwest, Northern states and even the west coast all have great potential candidates. If we don't open our doors and show interest, of course there will be no commitment. No top 10 college teams would ever limit their recruiting to four states.

What's Nick Saban/Urban Meyar/Jim Harbaugh's recruiting budgets? Oh wait you're saying we don't have 2 dozen private corporate jets at our disposal for free from alums? We're not getting $25M a year for the Sun Belt TV contract? We don't have 80,000 season ticket holders either? Gee I wonder how top 10 teams can afford to recruit across the country.
No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"
