Thread: Ga. State just announced a new radio broadcast partnership

Default Ga. State just announced a new radio broadcast partnership

Just heard on 92.9 The Game that they will be the new exclusive broadcast partner for Panther athletics. This is the largest sports talk radio station in Atlanta, they are also the exclusive broadcaster of the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons. Coach Elliot will have an exclusive weekly segment on the morning show during the season, and Ron Hunter will do the same during the Duke's and Bell show from 2-7pm during basketball season. All their other sports and most basketball games will broadcast on the 92.9 HD2 station.

In radio terms... I am just filling the "air" with something to talk about since there is not much else right now. As much as we hate them, this is news whether you like it or not.

What station were they on before? They already had Hunter/Football coaches on before. As well as our football, Kirby/Ritch before him, Kennesaw.

It's good news for them that they have an ATL radio station to broadcast their games, but they ARE located in ATL sooooooo.... Also, isn't it the ONLY sports station in ATL? It will have a better reach than any of our south GA stations, but with the internet, who is listening to radio games anyway?

There is also 680/93.7 The Fan. One of the reasons I think this is relevant is because it forces the station to talk something other than SEC/ACC, we (Eagles) have already been mentioned this morning during THEIR announcement. 92.9 reaches a lot of ears on a daily basis.

They were on one of 680 The Fan's AM affiliates, and its range was basically 285 plus 2-3 miles. This is actually a giant step forward.

Thank you. Yea anything on AM radio in Atlanta is horrible. I am an avid listener of 92.9 the game for the rush hour shows. I take marta now so it's only about 15 minutes per commute now.
