Thread: Travel week and Hurricane Michael

  1. Default Travel week and Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Michael is projected to hit the Florida Panhandle Wednesday afternoon and sweep across South Georgia toward Statesboro/Savannah Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Does anyone know how we are getting to San Marcos? I assume we're flying. Will we have to adjust our plans and leave sooner to avoid the storm? Will this hurt practice time during an already shortened week?

One thing guaranteed about Hurricanes is it will change course and strength. Remember how up and arms everyone was thinking we'd be playing Clemson in a torrential downpour? We'll leave Wednesday I guess, the day before just like any other chartered flight.

Hurricane Chad is projected to be departing Statesboro on Wednesday traveling west towards the Austin/San Antonio area before gaining momentum and returning east to Georgia shortly thereafter.

No change of course is expected.

According to CCL on the radio show tonight, the current plan is to depart Savannah at 2p Wednesday. He said the team is meeting for breakfast at 8a and an evaluation will be made if the need to leave sooner.
