Navy is really having a bad year.

Isn't the flexbone the great equalizer though?

***yawn***. . . . except the exact same post is made 2-3 times every.single.time. a flexbone team loses A game.

I’d love to hear someone actually suggest that Navy could average 9 wins a year over a 15-year stretch with anything else.

Remember the first thing PJ did was dumb down their schedule to make it easier to win. Which at a service academy makes 100% sense because it's not the 1920's anymore. The service academies are not getting the elite recruits like they once did.

This is absolutely true. CJM had to do the same at Army.

I'd say smarten up the schedule.

I know we need a P5 for the money, and they can be fun. But if we didn't need the $, I'd be happy with just fun G5's and running a couple of undefeated season (if we could), and getting mentioned up there with UCF and showing up on that Top 10, Top 15 board and make them all talk about how we will never get in the playoff because of our SOS. They aren't letting us in anyway. Having our name up there could give recruiting a boost and actually help us become better.

Just going off 2001 vs 2004... I'd suggest the schedules were pretty similar. I'm not really seeing a dumbing down either.
