TALON, you are on an island here. I haven't seen anyone agree with you on any section of the board. You asked for feedback and it's been explained (not just opined) to you that a win over NDSU wouldn't help us more than a win over any other FCS team. That is the reason that it's inadvisable to schedule the toughest FCS opponent possible. Regardless of whether NDSU is higher than any of our other opponents on some meaningless metric rating, beating them would do nothing to help us more than beating SC State. That's a fact, and you've provided no evidence to the contrary other than suggesting that 'it ought to'. But it doesn't. The FCS alongside their name essentially disqualifies them from giving us any extra boost for a win - regardless of their Massey rating strength relative to any other FCS (or G5 team). For that reason, there is no justification for dramatically increasing the risk by playing a team with, say, a 40-60% chance of beating us when there is no commensurate increase in the reward. You either don't understand or you refuse to believe that. I get that you'd love to get some pay back, but if that's your real motivation behind this push, then just say so and admit that it's subjective. Once you come to accept that for all intents and purposes the FCS win is a meaningless win (but an FCS loss is not a meaningless loss), you realize that the question becomes "who do we schedule to get our meaningless win and avoid a potentially meaningful loss?" And the answer isn't NDSU.

    GATAlack,
There have been few that have posted on this & those that have posted over and over again.

Still, I respect your posts so I'll just let it drop.
