Especially if we have an O line working right and get a few more tricky things working well. Get a little misdirection happening. Throw a few short passes. Once they start getting a handle on that, just let Werts bust out a couple times. We can shred.

If we see the same improvement keep happening, we will end this season better than any GS team Monken or Fritz ever put on the field, by miles....

(And let's face it. Any coach who uses “row the boat” as their signature slogan deserves to have his head caved in by some team like GS. That’s the ‘jump to conclusions mat’ of coaching. What a tool.)
Oh, you and I agree. The Gophers are a very winnable game. As shown from 1986 they have improved little. Only 3 Gopher coaches have gotten them over a 50% winning margin since 1986. Maybe thats going to far back, but there current Head Coach is around 48% after 2 years.

    Who is delusional?

The Gophers are one of the best P5 teams we could have picked up for a win.

Opps, you can be sorry latter Buzz, after GSU wins this one.

Buzz, I'm sure you know what a power house P5 team the Gophers have proven to be since 1986 & the last 2 years for them were special! Maybe I'm missing something!

Buzz you see this as a non winnable game because?????? (MAKE YOUR POINT & make it GOOD)

Update on Gopher Running back Mohamed Ibrahim.

    per Harrington:

    20. Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota: When Rodney Smith went down with a injury early in the season it opened up the door for Ibrahim. He was a late bloomer, but quickly emerged as the Golden Gophers’ primary back. Ibrahim finished the season the season with 1,160 yards on the ground to go along with nine touchdowns. He hit the century mark in rushing against New Mexico State, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin. However, Ibrahim saved his best performance for last in Minnesota’s bowl win over Georgia Tech when he rumbled for 224 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll be P.J. Fleck’s featured back this fall so his workload and production should increase. Ibrahim will definitely take some of the pressure off Minnesota’s new starting quarterback.

    Update on Gophers HC Fleck

    per the AP:

The portal is the NCAA's cryptic name for the database it maintains to track which athletes - in all sports - have notified their schools they wish to transfer. The big change from last year's rules reform was athletes no longer needed to request permission to transfer. Schools and coaches can no longer stop a transfer and dictate where the athlete goes. The point of the portal was to create transparency and order.

Before rules reform, the transfer process could be clandestine. Because athletes needed permission from their current coach to be contacted by other schools, it encouraged third parties to get involved, an active grapevine filled with high school and 7-on-7 coaches, personal trainers, parents and friends of friends.

"Before it was by word of mouth," Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck said. "Somebody gave you a call, 'This guy might be transferring,' and get going. Now, it's every day we have people that are in our program checking the portal."

The portal provides more exposure for the transferring player and, ostensibly, more opportunities. Instead of deals being struck under the table even before players officially were granted their release, now every school in the country has chance to make a pitch.

I wish we would see more benefits from this portal thing. Not much yet.

Are y'all nuts? This is an automatic "L"

I heard the same kind of nonsense when we played Indiana and West Virginia and North Carolina and Navy and Auburn

I also heard we would have automatic Ls at NC State, Tech, and UGA in 2015...and against UMass and App State last year for that matter...
