They didn’t have to worry about it (or in Seeak’s case he didn’t realize he had to worry about it) affecting anything. Then there’s the ability to change position. There’s a lot more places to stash the ones who do stay when you need 4-6 A-backs ready to play every game + 2 B-backs.

There’s just several things that go into it that make it a lot more different now than what PJ and Sewak were doing in the late 90’s/early-mid 2000’s.

You're right about the Option QBs choices. If GSU should some how could grab a superstar QB out of high school then the other 2 QB recruited would have to understand that they would be in competition with the current GSU QB and the 1st pick for our next QB. Many High School option QBs know that very few schools will be pick them as an Option QB in collage. If given a chance to earn the QB job in a heads up competition with the understanding they could be the back up QB or be moved to a different position with a chance of a scholarship they may be interested. The athletes education should always come first especially if you are an option QB.

So it was Sewak that signed 5 high school QBs. weren't 3 of them transfer over to the defense?
