ESPN now reports the donations were “strongly encouraged”. Not mandatory. smh.

This is colossally ill-conceived and tone deaf.
Ever devoted to the twin causes of reason and justice . . . ever at risk of waxing verbose

Reminds me of our "voluntary" morning workouts during lacrosse season. You can say they aren't mandatory, but at the end of the day the coach is going to lean towards a guy that "volunteered".

Now your everyone on your team is a booster and can't buy themselves a bag of chips. Congratulations, you played yourself.

Yep, that was the point I was getting to... if the RB buys the QB a bag of chips they are in violation.

Or, maybe this is actually smart and current boosters can now get away with buying a bag of chips, or a car, for a player because they are a fellow booster. Lol

Yes and would mean while hanging out with your teammates, if you bought a round of shots, that's a NCAA violation. If you buy your teammate lunch, that's an improper benefit. You don't own a car, and borrowed your roommates, that's a violation.

No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"

Well, now that we're down to 9 football eligible members in the conference, who we gonna get to take ULaughaLot's spot on the schedule? Where is that emoji where the little guy is laughing so hard he has to pound the ground when you need him?

As corrupt as the state of Louisiana is, I'm sure the NCAA has to have a special set of guidelines just for them in order to field ANY any team so this would go right under the radar. A lot of the stuff in "The Waterboy" like drunk cheerleaders was inspired by true events but toned down for the movie.
