Our pass game execution has to get a lot better if we expect to be able to run the ball between the tackles. The defenses we're gonna face aren't gonna give up yardage between the tackles until they have to defend a pass game that actually works.

We have to throw the ball on time and on target when we do throw it if we want to get the run game going. Same old, same old.

You are correct. If we don't or can't throw the ball better than in prior years we will not beat 3 or 4 of the sun belts teams on our schedule this year. Quite honestly, if we are not going to develop our passing game I see no reason not to return to the true triple option. If we have to try and win a game by throwing it today, we will lose. If you look Tomlin is better mechanically with is passing technique than Werts, although neither seems willing to set themselves and deliver the ball.

Yeah, we should throw the ball more often, and we should throw it better.

We obviously made a decision NOT to throw in the second half, but I don’t think we run the dive consistently enough to be overly-concerned about staying on schedule. We should be good enough at passing that we aren’t afraid to throw the ball on first and ten or third and six.
    Thanks, Rastabot!

Until we get a true dual threat QB, there is no reason to pass more. Our RB/QB's have zero pocket presence and can't check off 4-5 reads in 4 seconds.
No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"

King will be very good for us....but why are we pitching to him and why in general do we pitch to anyone that is not a talent than can take it to the house. Don’t bother.

That is one one of my bigger disappointments with the Debeese Bunch. If we take all the risk to pitch the ball it needs to only be pitched to a home run hitter. Maybe we just don’t have many of those kids with WKIII out.

King is excellent at certain things, but he doesn’t have great hands.

Thats another reason we need Kennedy back

Speedy is going to be a killer. Really want to see Cunningham or Green get touches. I have no idea why we aren’t playing Thompson. We just don’t like speed in this offense.
Too many Urkels on your team that's why your wins low

    I was thinking the same.

Is Cunningham injured, or CL still pissed because he tried to transfer?

Why do people keep asking this? Cunningham is where he’s been since he stepped on campus...buried deep down on the depth chart. That’s why he’s not playing. As for Green there is no reason to burn his redshirt. Once King was eligible his fate was sealed. Now Thompson though, all I can figure is he is in the doghouse or injured after the spring he had.

Wasn’t Cunningham also dealing with some injury issues?
