+1, the turf monster got him. Just another example of how we were really close in blowing out Maine. That play should have been a TD, Wright got caught from behind on his long run(should have been TD) and Speedy got caught from behind on one of his long runs(should have been TD). If we converted in deep from Red Zone, game would have been over much much sooner.

Our red zone problems were 100% stupid playcalls.

I have never seen us come away empty handed ( or with only a FG.). How many times did we have a 1st down inside the 5 to come away with no TD?

Someone needs to get through to whomever is calling these plays: When you do the exact same thing literally every single time, they do really know what's coming next.

Maine clearly figured that out. Stacked us to cover the inevitable dive. They left a huge area uncovered. Would have been all too easy to just waltz over there and into the end zone on a sweet toss.

Some of those calls were the same that led to huge gains, Tomlin also got stripped(fumble) running wide. It wasn't the play calling, it was poor execution(blocking).

Every time we got to the red zone, we snapped it back to the 35. That certainly doesn't help.

lol, yep, serious poor execution. Yet, between the 5 yard lines we showed some explosiveness, my word 3 with over 100 yards rushing and 395 yards on ground.

Our blocking has to get better. Run blocking is what we do and we are still not able to drive the D line off the ball. It's going to be a long season if we can't get better OL execution.

ESPECIALLY in the redbone, 1st and goal. I mean heck we rushed for 395 yards, first time since 2012 we had 3 100 yard rushers. That shows we CAN block, now do it inside the opponent 10.
